Detroit (WXYZ) - People walking home and a dead car battery is just the beginning of this unbearable cold. 

The hottest thing in downtown Detroit is the steam coming from the tunnels far below the city, other than that it is bone chilling. 

If you are going out in the cold in the early morning or late at night remember to layer your clothes and don't forget the mittens and hats.
