Last Update: 11/04/2009 8:28 pm
DETROIT (WXYZ) - An effort is under way to name Comerica Park's ball diamond Harwell Field in honor of Hall of Fame broadcaster Ernie Harwell.

The effort is gathering support on Facebook, and a man from Grandview is hoping that he can get the Tigers organization to approve the name change.

Harwell, 91, is suffering from inoperable bile duct cancer and has been given less than a year to live.
