slwake..........thank you, thank you, thank you. Well said. The average person doesn't even know that. We could save a lot if we quit making the refugees eligible for everything when they come here. The public would prefer to have the government take more money away from the state employees. Do you know that while state employees had to give up 6 days (give up again for the third time), the legislature only gave up two??

I'm really disappointed that the option of cutting aid to foreigners did not make your budget cut list. Do you know how much money could be saved in this state alone if we started making every business pay taxes, instead of giving 5 free years of not paying taxes, although we all know they never pay taxes, just put the business in another family member's name to avoid paying these taxes. Or if we just stopped giving free medical services to people who are not citizens. Or if we just stopped suppling interpetors, forms & brochures in other languages, with all the tax free money they have, let them pay for their own interpretor. Or if we would stop giving bridge cards to people who have never paid a dime into the system. If you ask me, if you haven't paid a dime into our system, you should not be aloud to get any of our support monies, AT ALL. No medicare, no food stamps, no social security, NOTHING!! Why are we expect to foot the bill for these people who are milking our system? Don't like our rules, GO HOME!! Instead of just sending our money home!! If we did some of these cuts, it would give us enough money to investigate the other areas where our systems are being abused, like the bottle returns that are coming from other states, being returned here for money from our state. 1 foreign family cost us $50 million last year. 1 family! Who didn't pay taxes, but got all our amentities. And we could be using OUR tax dollars to invesigate how with the right amount of money, you can get a driver's license and other documents from the secretary of state. This is widely known about but yet nothing is being done, why? Because the state can't afford to investigate. Sit for one whole day in a secretary of state office & I guarantee you will see some of this abuse to our system. I think its time to take care of OUR OWN, & STOP GIVING TO THOSE WHO DON'T PAY INTO OUR SYSTEM. I DON'T & DIDN'T SEE ANY OF THESE PEOPLE COMING TO HELP US IN ANY WAY SHAPE OR FORM, WHEN WE NEEDED IT!

Democratic and Republican politicians have ZERO RESPECT for the honest hard-working taxpayers who elect them. They all play ball with the people who have the big money. They are all pathological liars.Sociopaths,,,they should be hung when they are found guilty of corruption.Taxes will be raised further,,this is the wrong move.

Have another state appoint an emergency financial manager, lay off Granholm and the legislature until the problem ends.
