MadeinChina. . .Many UAW workers who took the buyout as I did were IMMEDIATELY hired by other MAJOR COMPANIES including I. The HOSPITALS, RAILROADS, AIRLINES, and OTHER FOREIGN AUTO COMPANIES have come out big asking for displaced UAW members. This only DEFINES how these companies respect UAW members. My uncle told me that many educated people have so much education that they do not have any COMMON SENSE..... For your information I have EDUCATION. . .

proudly84: Sounds like you haven't heard, uaw = UNWANTED AUTO WORKERS!! Unwanted by the very corporation that employs them. Lifelong injuries? No one held a gun to your head and forced you to stay. Get educated and move on! You stay there because nowhere else is there a gravy train like the uaw. You couldn't make that kind of money without an education, and the ones that do have an education (college that is) would actually have to WORK. If Michigan gets so bad, my skills give me the option in which I can get employment in 49 other states!! THERE IS LIFE AFTER THE AUTO INDUSTRY, I KNOW - JUST ASK ME.

Easy to blame our first African American president for the crap american corporations have been doing for years. Why not go after them USSVWBEETLE???? The credit card companies are nothing more than loan sharks preying on the American public - the list is endless. george w gave that first round stimulus to his banking/insurance cronies, didn't he?? Heck I don't know, I lose track. But now everything is Obama's fault. I am not a big fan of politicians. I am not a big fan of gov't involvement but some kind of action is better than nothing. No easy answers for any of the multitude of problems we face.

Once the crap hits the fan when two of the three goes under sit in your basement for a week with your guns and food. Wait for everything to some what blow over then come out and see what happened. Treat it like an apocolypse. It's either that or we need to stage a coup and run the government from a citizens perspective.

Clare: orville wrightsville08 has NO CLUE. He obviously has never heard of Dr. Demming, the AMERICAN PHD whose philosophy on continuous improvement was rejected by the Americans. Japan embraced this concept with their auto companies and kicked the american industries butt. Poor Quality until they came to the USA. Wrightsville I wouldn't post here anymore - YOUR IGNORANCE is choking. PS: I am an AMERICAN worker!!! Oh by the way, as the crime rate gets worse, our ICU just keeps getting busier - can you say "OVERTIME"

There are so many people who have NO clue of the life of an UAW automobile worker, but insist on commenting as if they do. I do understand that there are a lot of FAKERS on this site with opinions, which this is the site for opinions. However, American made cars are the best and the only for me. Everyone talks about the whining UAW members make, but they never talk about the lifelong injuries that they endure as a hourly worker. However, but if you have not been on one job for over 10 years, then of course you have NO CLUE. I support my fellow UAW members and I hope that The Big 3 come out on top. People will start to recognize the triple down affect will continue to get worse in the State of Michigan. The state loses residents to other flourishing states every day. So, if the automotive goes crumbling and you do not have a back up plan, the prayers will indeed before everyone in those situations. Not just UAW members.

I am not trying to offend people. Sometimes it can't be helped. My Step-Father retired from ford and my Uncle from chrysler. So this affects everyone not just the workers now. But, it is time for people to raise their heads high and move on. Whatever happens is gonna happen. We can't stop it, alot of people screwed up in all parties. We just need to deal with it. Make the best of it....

You can bet your sweet tushie that crime will get worse. A LOT worse. And more random. In more places. People are getting desperate. This is the time for all of us to pull together, try to help out our neighbors and each other. And try to stay positive, dammit!
