This is such a terrible story. So sad by the loss of these four teens. My father was killed by a drunk driver when I was four years old, on New Year's Eve. I have created a website in his honor and other victims of dui. Check it out and listen to a song I wrote, view a slide show, and order anti-drunk driving t-shirts at cost. http://duivictimsvoice.blogspot.com

I just want say to babyhey9995, if you had read my post maybe you would not have said what you said. I don't know you and you don't know me but, the differance between you and me is... I don't sit and talk ill about people I don't know. I truly believe you may want to do a little more researh on the situation before you speak out. Devon was a personal friend of mine so please believe, I do know and I will never forget.

I didnt read any comments directed to me because you being immature doesn't amuse me. This post isn't for people to come on and talk crap to eachother nor act like 12 year olds got ahold of the internet while mommy and daddy left. This post should be saying my heart goes out to the family not talking junk to people who leave comments. You people sicken me and are just as bad as the stupid chick who killed these teens. STOP ACTING IMMATURE AND GET SOME CLASS!

Mommy89, I hope you are kidding about becoming a POLICE officer soon. The way you called them out is totally ridiculous. How can you want to be a LAZY POLICE officer like you called them in your first blog? You also need to get your facts straight, SHE wasn't the one making a scene in the front yard it was her girlfriend and her boyfriend, she just happened to be there. As far as you becoming a POLICE officer, I hope you don’t apply at ROSEILLE P.D.. I would hate to see your learning from LAZY officers who don't know the LAW according to you. I hear there are a lot of departments out of state that are looking for a few good POLICE officers. Why don’t you contact MADD and see how many OWI arrest ROSEVILLE P.D. officers make every year. I believe ROSEVILLE has two officers who are getting awards from MADD for their hard work and dedication to taking DRUNK drivers off the streets of ROSEVILLE. You can hide behind your computer and put people down all day long if that is what makes you feel better. If by chance you do end up becoming a POLICE officer, you will look back at this one day and realize how hard this job has become. As far as you trying to give the ROSEVILLE POLICE a bad reputation, apply with them and see if you have what it take to become ONE. I hope I never have the pleasure of working with you one day, but if it does happen, I will be there to back you up and see to it that you get home to you Daughter and family every night. If you are interested, we offer ride alongs too. NUFF said.

The neighbors stated Dingles van was parked crooked on the public street. It's obvious the police knew she was intoxicated and at some point drove to get where she was or they wouldn't have warned her not to drive. They could have at least surveillenced the area for a bit. To the criminal justice student, every intoxicated person cannot be arrested but a little common sense doesn't hurt. And I know there are good men on the forces but Warren Police does have a reputation.I'm not placing blame just my opinion. As for Dingles daughter, her "mother" did do this. Not just the alcohol. It may not have been intentional to kill...but she did. Destroyed the lives of countless families. Dingle is obviously a loss to some, as nobody wants to lose a parent either. But at the end of the day..Dingle serves no place in society. She was sober at some point and chose her path.I agree with the death penalty as well. Or have the prisoners clean up our cities. Why spend more tax dollars to do it when we have all these displaced misfits? We treat prisoners better than the homeless. Put 'em to work in groups with police monitors. I dunno..It's sad to see so many lives ruined by drunk drivers. Whata POS. My heart goes out to the families during this difficult time.

I am a 17 year old girl from Oakland county. My dad was killed by a drunk driver when I was 4 years old. As I sat and watched the 11 o'clock news, a story about a drunk driver caught my attention. As I began to watch and listen to the news story and see the pictures of the 4 teens I realized... Oh no this could not be true. My friend Devon Spurlock had been involved in the accident. Although I did not know Devon very well because I was unable to spend very much time with him, the memories I do have of Devon are of him smiling, laughing, and joking around. The last time I saw Devon he was showing me his tatoo that he had just got for his mother who was killed by a drunk driver many years ago. It is still hard for me to believe that this has happened. The mixed feeling of rage and sadness are overwhelming, but I know that this is the way it works. As I hear more and more about the accident it truly reminds me of the accident my father was killed in! The woman who killed these teens deffinitly deserves to spend life in prison. No one gets into a car while they are drunk unaware of the risk they are taking. Another point I want to stress as well, is that; yes this woman has takin 4 young lives and ruined many others but her family will suffer because of this too and all though their family member is still alive, they will still suffer humiliation, embarasment, and pain because of one persons bad decision. My heart goes out to the family of all of the teens, but also to the family of the woman who made a horrible choice. There is nothing anyone can do to heal the pain of these people but we can keep them in our prayers and hope that justice will be served and this woman will never be capable of mentally or physically hurting another man, woman, or child; enough damage has been done! *Please keep the family and friends of these 4 kids in your thoughts and prayers -Katelyn ~Feel free to contact me at savelives09@gmail.com if you have any questions or comments

dirty1788- I AM IN COLLEGE FOR CRIMINAL JUSTICE I WILL BE A POLICE OFFICER SO MAYBE YOU NEED TO GO CHECK URSELF BEFORE YOU COME AT ME..AND SAYING " If the POLICE arrested everyone they came in contact with because the people were drunk or had been drinking there would be no room in the jails and they would have probably arrested YOU at one time or another" JUST SHOWS YOUR IGNORANCE BECAUSE IF THE POLICE DOESNT ARREST SOMEONE WHOS INTOXICATED TO THE POINT OF HARRASSING NEIGHBORS AND STUFF THEY NEED TO BE IN JAIL TO SOBER UP THEN WHEN THEY ARE SOBER THEY LET THEM GO!..AND I NEVER GOT ARRESTED, I OBEY THE LAW AS WELL AS STATE THE LAW..SO WHY DONT YOU TAKE YOUR HIGH TAILING ASS OUT OF MY FACE BECAUSE YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT YOU'RE TALKING ABOUT.

My heart goes out to the family of those children. It is so hard for a parent to lose a child. My heart is heavy for them... My prayers go out to you from South Carolina! As for the driver I hope the guilt alone eats at her. She deserves to rott away behind bars and thats even to good for her. Gosh the pain she has caused them families, how selfish of her to get in a car and drive. I do agree she needs to look at their photo everyday for the rest of her life.... As for the police I feel bad for them as well. Their guilt is probably keeping them up at night. I'm sure there are steps and guide lines they have to take with the public and they only did what they felt was right at the time. I feel for them as well.
