YPSILANTI TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WXYZ) - Eastbound I-94 at Michigan Avenue is now back open in Washtenaw County following an investigation into a fatal accident.

Police say a garbage truck slammed into a car on the freeway. The driver of the car did not survive.

The westbound lanes of the freeway were also closed for a short time because of the crash.
