Last Update: 11/23/2009 7:08 pm

NORTHVILLE TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WXYZ) - Two police officers were hurt, one seriously, after an early morning chase and crash in Northville Township.

It happened while the Northville Township police officers were chasing a stolen car.

Witnesses say one of the officers was trying to block the intersection of 6 Mile and Haggerty when another officer ran into him.

Three people were in the stolen car at the time of the crash. All of the suspects ran off. Action News crews did notify police when spotting one of the suspects. The man was taken into custody.

Investigators are still trying to track down the other two suspects. Officers say they know who they are looking for, and believe the suspects may have been headed to Ypsilanti.

One of the officers suffered serious head trauma in the crash, but Action News is told that the officer is in stable condition. The other officer involved in the crash was treated and released.
