Monroe (WXYZ)- After more than 24 hours, an Amber Alert is still in effect for a missing 5-year-old girl.

Nevaeh Buchanan was last seen Sunday in the parking lot of the Charlotte Arms Apartment Complex on Macomb Street in Monroe.
Police are questioning two people in connection with Neveah's disappearance including a male friend of the girl's mother. Investigators say the 39-year-old man is a registered sex offender who lives near the family's Monroe home.
Nevaeh has brown hair and eyes and was last seen wearing a light blue sleeveless shirt with red and white stripes and blue jeans.
Her scooter was also found in the parking lot of the complex.
