(WXYZ) - Three young children who were taken from their home in Detroit have been reunited with their mother after a frightening ordeal.
WATCH KIMBERLY CRAIG'S REPORT IN THE VIDEO PLAYER ON THE RIGHTDetroit Police cancelled an Amber Alert issued for two-year-old Alannah Adams, five-year-old Ajani Adams and seven-year-old Amari Adams. The children were considered to be in extreme danger.
Officers say the father of the children, 29-year-old Anthony Adams, reportedly abducted the kids Sunday from their home on Pierson Road in Detroit. Police say he was armed with a gun and shot at the mother, but no bullets hit the woman.
The children were found safe in Fort Wayne, Indiana along with their father 29 year-old Anthony Adams, who is accused of kidnapping them.
He was arrested after leading Allen County Police in Indiana on a short chase early Monday morning. Police say Adams was drunk and had all three children in the car.
