(WXYZ) - Anti-flu medicine, a battery-free flashlight--those are just some of the ideas teens have come up with for Google's annual science fair.
The company has announced they are now taking submissions for their 2014 fair from students ages 13 to 18.
They encourage students to figure out what they are passionate about or think about a problem they always wished they could solve and go from there.
For the 2014 competition, Google says they will hand out additional awards in computer science and for ideas that combat issues relevant to the student's community.
Google says on their blog that the grand prize winner will get a 10-day trip to the Galapagos Islands aboard the National Geographic Endeavour.
Project submissions are due by May 12 and the winners are scheduled to be announced at the finalist event at Google headquarters in California on September 22.
So, all you students out there, get to thinking.
