Detroit Police have released surveillance photos in a shootout inside a Family Dollar.

An armed man tried to rob the store on the 12600 block of Dexter yesterday around 11:00 a.m.

The suspect fired a shot, hitting a man.

The victim, a CPL holder, pulled out his gun and fired back.

It is unknown if the robber was hit.

He did drop the money on the way out of the store.

The victim is in critical condition.

The suspect is described as a black male, 25-30 years old, 5’7”, medium build, full beard and mustache, dark complexion.

He was last seen wearing a black coat and blue jeans.
