The Michigan State Police say they have arrested a second suspect in connection to the triple shooting in Inkster on July 1 and are in the process of interviewing him.
Earlier, the man who police say murdered an innocent Inkster toddler in a revenge plot appeared in court.
Raymone Jackson, 24, is charged with First Degree Premeditated Murder, Assault with Intent to Murder, Felony Assault, Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Torture.
He's accused of deliberately killing a 2-year-old girl to send a message to her dad, his real intended target. He also shot a 12-year-old girl who was in the wrong place at the wrong time.
There has been bad blood in the past between the two men including Jackson being shot in April at an after hours club. This shooting was apparently a payback. Police say they obtained good physical evidence during the arrest including a gun, that will be tested.
Kamiya Gross, 2, was shot in the head at point-blank range. Chelsea Lancaster, 12, was shot in the stomach, and she's in stable condition.
Kenny French, 34, the intended target, is also in stable condition.
We're told Jackson is not cooperating with police.
