(WXYZ) - Oakland County parks are going to the dogs this weekend!
On September 7, canines can swim at Waterford Oaks from noon to 5 p.m. and on September 8, dogs are invited to swim at Red Oaks water park.
All owners are required to show a valid Michigan Dog License or proof of rabies vaccinations. Tickets are $15 per dog at the gate.
Oakland Veterinary Referral Services will be on-site for canine first aid.
The Waterford Oaks County Park Pavilion will also host a vaccination clinic on September 7 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. All About Animals Rescue ask that all pets be either on a leash or crated for pet safety.
At the same time as the dog swim on September 8, Red Oaks Waterpark will host Fido Fest in their parking lot from noon to 5 p.m. The free event features vendors, rescues, adoptions, contests and helpful tips.
