(WXYZ) - Target recently sent out an email with an apology and offer in order to keep customers after that big security breach during the holidays.
The company is offering a one year free credit reporting service to all of their U.S. customers.
If you are a target shopper, but you were not affected by the big security breach where hackers ripped off credit card numbers, and personal information, you can still take advantage of the company's free credit monitoring offer.

You do need to sign up by April 23. The company is offering the service to everyone to make sure you feel safe enough to shop there and so you'll come back if you left.
The free one year of credit reporting is valued at almost $200. The security breach happened at their stores during the holidays from November 27 through December 13.
