The Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Department says a nineteen year old driver was blindsided after stopping at a stop sign near the corner of Beemis and Moon in Saline.

Kenny Hill lives at the intersection of Beemis and Moon, the site of a deadly accident that occurred earlier this afternoon, where a nineteen year old man from Saline was killed.

Hill snapped photos of the wreckage from his cell phone.

The Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office is urging drivers to be defensive. In this case, we're told the victim was not at fault.

Hill says this tragic accident is a reminder that you can never be too careful on the road.

Right now, police have not released the victim’s name.

As far as the drunk driver, the sheriff’s department says he had an out of state I.D.

But they do believe he was currently living nearby. We’re told that driver is behind bars.

Investigators believe alcohol is a factor.
