Teen with terminal cancer touches lives, inspires others through music

(WXYZ) - At the age of 14, Zach Sobiech found out he had osteosarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer. 

UpWorthy reports that Sobiech was told that he wouldn't have much time to live and from then on decided to live each day to the fullest. 

He turned to music and touched the lives of many with his story which was told through a documentary filmed by SoulPancake .  

Zach passed away on the morning of May 20, 2013, at the age of 18.

A research fund has been set up on his behalf.
