Teens arraigned for Berkley home invasions

(WXYZ) - Two teens face charges of Second Degree Home Invasion, a 15-year felony after allegedly breaking into a Berkley home on Wednesday.

But police say they are also suspects in a total of three break-ins in Berkley, three in Royal Oak, four in Birmingham and more in Oak Park.

Jarrett Triggs, 17, is from Oak Park. Tyrone Mc Clinton, 19, is from Detroit.  Police say a third teen will also be charged.

During the arraignment, the judge read from their rap sheet-- the teens have a long history of break-ins as juveniles.

Both teens were told to remain silent, but Mc Clinton said he wanted to apologize for what he had done.  The woman whose house was broken into this week in Berkley did not want her face shown but told 7 Action News she's lived there 46 years and never had a problem.

She works as a volunteer in a hospital and was gone when they broke in through a back window, taking jewelry, a big screen TV and other property she identified with police.
