According to the American Heart Association nearly 400,000 people suffer from sudden cardiac arrest every year. That is why the AHA is now pushing for students to start learning CPR in school.

According to the organization only 34 states require CPR training as a graduation requirement.

A school in Palm Beach County in Florida, a state that does not require CPR training for grads, has managed to still teach its students CPR, despite having no funding for the program.
