Search continues for a suspect in last Friday's shooting at an off-campus MSU apartment

EAST LANSING, Mich. (WXYZ) - A shooting over the weekend near the campus of Michigan State University left one dead and another injured.

The suspect in a shooting at East Lansing's Cedar Village apartment complex is still at large.

The incident, which occurred the night of Jan. 31, left Dominique James Nolff dead. Nolff was a 20-year-old MSU student from Middleville, Mich.

The second victim, a 20-year-old student from Grand Haven, was transported to nearby Sparrow Hospital and treated for a single gunshot wound. The victim has since been released.

The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 20-25 years of age. He was wearing tan pants, a black coat and black shoes or boots at the time of the incident.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing and the East Lansing Police Department's Detective Bureau is working to locate the suspect.
