The Troy Police Department is alerting residents after two recent "stranger danger" reports.

In separate incidents, a man reportedly pulled up in a vehicle and asked boys walking home from school if they wanted a ride home.

The first incident reportedly took place on September 8 around 5 p.m.

A 14-year-old boy told police that a man driving a tan four-door Chevy or GMC followed him near Wattles just west of John R.

The teen said the man asked him if he wanted a ride, but the boy ignored him. He described the individual as a white man in his 50s, balding and wearing glasses.

The second incident took place on September 11 around 5 p.m.

Two 12-year-old boys reported that they were approached by a man who also asked them if they wanted a ride.

They described him as a white male in his 50s, balding with a mustache and a goatee. They told police he was driving a Chevy Malibu near Tallman and Thurber.

At this time, Troy police say it is not clear if the subject is the same man in both incidents.

Investigators are working to obtain sketches. Extra patrols will be in the areas where the incidents took place.
