(WXYZ) - It's hard to believe that it's been two years since our growing Twitter communities - the #backchannel and #earlyrisers - first started to appear in tweets from loyal Channel 7 viewers.
We're so happy to be a part of this community and we think it's time for all of us to celebrate!
Mark your calendars for this Wednesday, November 14 and make plans to come out to Copper Canyon restaurant in Southfield, the site of our very first Tweetup two years ago . The event is free, but we'll need to know you're coming! Appetizers will be provided and you can purchase your beverage of choice through cash-bar.

Were you at our very first Tweetup two years ago? You'll remember hundreds of people showed up. It was a great chance to meet the very people who tweet with us around the clock about what's going on in our communities and in our lives.
Our friends on the #backchannel and #earlyrisers are always the first to jump in when it's time to give back to the community. They are kind, caring individuals who look for ways to get involved.
Over the past two years, hundreds of people have volunteered their time to important causes and rallied behind us to make our communities a better place. We've held two "#Backchannel Bustups" where hundreds of our tweeps from the #backchannel and #earlyrisers came together to tear down eyesores in our neighborhoods.
The #backchannel and #earlyrisers aren't just good at tearing down walls, but they are awesome at putting them up as well! We've held two #Earlyrisers Buildups , where more than a hundred people grabbed hammers and nails to build walls with Habitat for Humanity.
Don't forget about the Auto Show Tweetups and so many other great events! We've made so many fantastic memories and we're looking forward to so much more!
If you're on Twitter or have been thinking about creating an account, be sure to follow the hashtags #backchannel and #earlyrisers. We'd love for you to become a part of this incredible community that continues to grow and inspire. You'll see our anchors and reporters tweeting here all the time.
You might even decide to RSVP and come out to Copper Canyon to see what it's all about.
We're connected, we're a community and we do good work.
See you on Wednesday!
