Two-alarm building caused major traffic problem on Detroit's west side

DETROIT (WXYZ) - A building fire on Detroit's west side caused a major traffic headache Friday morning.

All northbound Woodward traffic was re-routed between 7 Mile Rd. and East McNichols.

The two-alarm fire on Woodward Ave. and West Nevada started early Friday morning and was believed to be at an abandoned apartment building.

The Detroit Fire Department responded quickly to the scene.
