Two vehicles stolen from Redford Twp. car lot, two more sets of keys taken

The owner of a Redford Township used car lot had two vehicles stolen and the keys to two others taken during a break-in early Wednesday morning.

Surveillance video captured the men in the act at All Starz Auto Center on Plymouth Road. The men apparently used a large stone to break the glass on two entry doors to get inside the business.

The owner of the business, Abdul Nasreddine told 7 Action News it appeared from the video that the men had targeted specific vehicles in the lot.

“It was BMW parked in the front, there was an Infiniti in the back and those two expensive cars they took the keys for so they seemed like they know the place, I don’t know how,” Nasreddine said.

Nasreddine was alerted to the break-in by his alarm company.  When he arrived minutes later, police were already at the store but the men and the cars were gone.

Video showed the men walking in front of the business before they broke in.
They were inside and back out in a matter of seconds.

“They pick up the keys that they want, all the other cars they didn’t look at the keys, they didn’t even make a mess, they just went to the key that they wanted to pick,” he said.

Police reviewed the video that also showed one of the vehicles being driven right off the lot. In addition to the two stolen vehicles, the men also grabbed two other sets of keys, perhaps intending to return.

Nasreddine said he hopes someone can identify the men. The face of one of the suspects is visible on the surveillance video.

“I’m sure that if somebody looks at the video they will know who those people are,” he said.

A $2,000 reward is being offered for information that leads to an arrest.
