Decades of hard working union members in Detroit fought to ensure many of the workplace protections we all now benefit from and sometimes take for granted.
This morning, UAW Ford is showing appreciation for its aging members by volunteering with Meals on Wheels.
UAW Ford donated $20,000 to deliver 3,700 meals today to homebound seniors. There are more than 100 UAW members volunteering alongside more than 100 other people. Former Detroit Pistons star and University of Detroit Mercy assistant men's basketball coach Jermaine Jackson brought a dozen players to volunteer.
