VIDEO: Robber fires shots inside Redford McDonald's

(WXYZ) -  A gunman opened fire inside a busy metro Detroit McDonald's, and customers tell Action News they feared for their lives.

Now, we're taking action to help cops make an arrest with exclusive video.

In the above surveillance video you'll see only on 7, cameras capture a violent armed robbery by a real life hamburglar.

Cops say unlike most guys who commit similar crimes this bold thief is wanted for opening fire.

"People will display a gun which is bad enough, but to actually pull the trigger in a crowded restaurant with children nearby, we need to catch this guy," said Kevin Crittenden of Redford Police.

In the end, the heist only got the robber $75.

"That's nuts just for 75 dollars," said Samir Al-Jahmi, a customer.

Sgt. Kevin Crittenden say people living near 5 Mile and Telegraph could crack this recent case.

The guy took off on foot and might even live in a nearby neighborhood. If you have any info call Redford Police.
