Lockdown lifted after suspicious package found near White House

The all clear was given after a suspicious package prompted a lockdown at the White House.

2:05 p.m.

The Secret Service and Washington, D.C. police responded to the scene where there were reports of a suspicious package near the north fence of the White House.

President Donald Trump is not at the White House at this time. He is traveling to Arizona for a scheduled campaign rally.

1:59 p.m.

The White House is on lockdown due to a suspicious package located at a fence nearby, according to the Secret Service.
