PONTIAC, Mich. (WXYZ) - Investigators with the Oakland County Sheriff have now linked the home invasion and sexual assault of a woman and three girls to incident earlier this fall just a block away.
The crimes took place in the area of Franklin Road and South Boulevard in Pontiac
On Saturday, a 32-year-old woman awoke to a man sexually assaulting her. We're told she chased the man out of her home and then learned that the intruder entered the bedrooms of her two daughters, ages 12 and 7, and a niece, 13, and touched them in their private areas.
It appears the man may have been in the home on another occasion.
The children's grandmother tells 7 Action News that one of the children previously told her mother about a mysterious man in her room who put his private parts in her face, but the mother thought the girl was having a bad dream or seeing what she thought was a ghost.
When the woman and her children moved into the house about three weeks ago, we're told they found a note that indicated there were ghosts in the house.
Investigators tell 7 Action News that they believe the same man who assaulted the woman and the girls also entered the bedroom of a 12-year-old girl through a window. The girl, who lives about a block away, was startled and ran to get her father. That was in early October and the intruder escaped.
The intruder is described as a black male with a medium build and dreadlocks. He appeared to be about 25 to 30-years-old and was seen wearing a grey hoodie with "DUKE" written in blue across the front of it.
Anyone with information on the case or a possible suspect is urged to call Oakland County Sheriff investigators at (248)858-4911.
