Police took Reoma Shufford, 80, to be checked out after she was located this morning.
Shufford left Henry Ford Hospital in her wheelchair around 7:45 p.m. Tuesday night and disappeared.
After 7 Action News heard a tip that she may have been found, crews raced to the scene. We were the first ones to talk to Shufford on Moore Place near West Grand Boulevard around 5:30 a.m. She said she was trying to get to her granddaughter's house on Hecla Street.
Detroit police arrived shortly after and EMS came to take the woman to a nearby hospital.
Shufford had been dropped at Henry Ford Hospital Tuesday for a medical appointment and was supposed to be picked up, but was not.
