LIVONIA, Mich. (WXYZ) - A 33-year-old woman from Livonia whose dog went missing while she was in the hospital donating her liver has been reunited with her furry friend.
Alicia Karacson is on the mend now after she donated her liver to Mike Oziem at Henry Ford Hospital three weeks ago.
That was painful enough, but Karacson was heartbroken when she found out her pug Zoshi was missing.
Poster were plastered all over the neighborhood asking for Zoshi's safe return.
Thankfully Zoshi was found and reunited with his owner. It turns out that Zoshi had just gotten a bath and wandered from a broken gate in the backyard and wound up in a neighbor's backyard.
The woman who found Zoshi had her son come get the dog because he has two pugs. Zoshi was well taken care of by the man and returned to Alicia.
She says she's so grateful to everyone who helped her get Zoshi home.
"He's my everything. He's been with me for more than 7 years... super sweet... I love him to death," said Alicia.
