TEGUCIGALPA, Honduras (WXYZ) - The Harlem Globetrotters were in Honduras putting on their usual show when a dunk nearly cost one of the players his life.
"Bull" Bullard, who's from right here in Detroit, slammed home an alley-oop dunk during one of the team's games.
But when he pulled his feet up to the backboard, the entire goal tipped over and shattered right on top of him.
According to the Globetrotters website, Bullard is miraculously okay.
He had a cut above his eye that bled a little bit, but he returned later to sign autographs.
He tweeted around midnight: "Thanks for the get well wishes my friends. Speedy recovery is under way #teambull33"
