(WXYZ) - It's a case of a victim turning the tables on his attacker. And what this victim did to a bully is lighting up the internet.
The disturbing video has been seen across the world. It shows a younger student beating up on an older, much bigger student who loses his cool and responds with a shocking counterattack.
The older, bigger victim takes a few punches and then snaps. He picks up his pint-sized attacker and tosses him to the ground.
According to published reports both of the boys involved are ok. The incident took place at a school in Australia.
The younger student, who initiated the fight, got a 21 day suspension and the older boy, 15-year-old Casey Hynes, was suspended for four days.
Hynes spoke in an exclusive interview with an Australian station for the first time since the incident. He said he contemplated suicide a year ago due to the seemingly nonstop attacks.
“I was just looking at him, I wasn’t really thinking. I was just like, ‘yeah, finally it’s over,” said Hynes of the incident.
When asked if he thought he overreacted to his bully by body slamming him, Hynes said "no."
Footage of the fight has been posted online and has drawn hundreds of comments on Facebook, mostly in support of the older boy. At least one Facebook page in support of him has also been created.
