(WXYZ) - WXYZ is proud to take part in a charity softball tournament this weekend in Dearborn.
Channel 7, along with a dozen local fire and police departments will be competing in a softball tournament Saturday, September 6. The tournament will benefit the Dearborn Firefighters Burn Drive.
The Burn Drive has raised over a million dollars since its creation.
It helps victims who have suffered burn injuries by assisting with medical bills, equipment and in some cases relocation for the family. To donate to the Burn Drive CLICK HERE
The charity has also helped families with children who suffer from cancer. Part of the proceeds will also go to the Brian Woehlke Foundation. Woehlke, 29, was a Westland firefighter who died in the line of duty last year while battling a blaze at a strip mall. Brian left behind his wife Jennifer, and his young daughter, Ava.

The games begin at 10 a.m. at Dearborn Ice Center on Ford Road. Our first game will be against the Dearborn Firefighters. Come out and cheer us on!
