Young survivor fights to recover after deadly boating accident that killed siblings

(WXYZ) - As ten-year-old Adriana Mansour continues to fight to survive critical injuries she sustained in Sunday's boating accident on Sylvan Lake, the Catholic community continues to hold prayer vigils for the girl and her family.

Adriana's six-year-old sister, Gabrielle, and 11-year-old brother, Alexander, both died after a boat hit their large inflatable raft.

A rope had been used to connect the children's raft to the personal watercraft, a Sea-Doo, that their father was driving.

But as John Mansour was traveling north to south on the lake, he crossed paths with a boater who traveling from west to east.

Investigators say the boater did not see the raft and right now there is no indication that alcohol was involved.

In an effort to try to piece together the crash, Oakland County Sheriff investigators will be obtaining the numerous recorded 911 calls to hear what witnesses were reporting in moments after the accident.

Funeral arrangements for the two Mansour children are pending.
