DETROIT [WXYZ] - Members of the 1984 Tigers World Series championship team gathered at Comerica Park Monday to celebrate the 30th anniversary of winning the title and to bask in the glow of current Tiger fans.
Many of the great players from that team were in town, Alan Trammell, Lou Whitaker, Darrell Evans, Dan Petry and many more, back to share great memories with each other and the fans.
The group had lunch together, signed autographs for the fans and were honored in a pregame ceremony before the current team played the Oakland Athletics.
To a man, the '84 champs are thankful to be able to gather again and share in the memories of their accomplishment but also remember those fellow teammates and coaches who have passed on or could not attend this special event.
Trammell, Whitaker, and Dave Rozema share some feelings with our Dave Solano.
