ALDS Game 2 set for Sunday afternoon

DETROIT (WXYZ) - Game 2 of the AL Division Series Championship between the Oakland A's and Detroit Tigers has been set for Sunday October 7 at noon EST at Comerica Park.

Tigers manager Jim Leyland announced Friday that Doug Fister will be the Tigers starting pitcher in Game 2.

The game will only be shown on Major League Baseball Network.

The Tigers will take on the A's in Game 1 Saturday at 6:07 p.m. EST. Tigers Ace Justin Verlander will take the mound against the A's Jarrod Parker.

Game three will be in Oakland on Tuesday October 9 at 9 p.m. EST and Anibal Sanchez will start for Detroit, with Max Scherzer getting the Game 4 start (if necessary) on Wednesday.

Friday the Baltimore Orioles and Texas Rangers will play a single game to determine the American League Wild Card spot. The winner will face the New York Yankees on Sunday.
