DETROIT (WXYZ) - The Detroit Tigers activated center fielder Austin Jackson from the disabled list on Friday. The move also sent rookie outfielder Avisail Garcia back to Triple-A Toledo to make room for Jackson.
Jackson is expected to play in tonight's series opener against the Minnesota Twins.
Tonight will mark the first game Jackson has played for the Tigers since being placed on the disabled list May 12 with a pulled left hamstring.
Garcia hit .288 with two home runs and 10 RBIs in Jackson's absence.
