DETROIT (WXYZ) - The Detroit Tigers launched a campaign to give away World Series tickets on Twitter.
Tuesday the Tigers announced their contest via Twitter. They asked people to tweet them their best impression of Phil Coke's #GloveSpike after sweeping the Yankees to win the ALCS, and they'd send you to the World Series.
The contest ended at midnight Tuesday. Winners are expected to be announced later in the week.
For those of you who don't win, don't worry. We have 7 ways for you to score sold out World Series tickets and one of them includes following Justin Verlander on Twitter.
The Tigers are off to San Francisco to face the Giants in Games 1 and 2 of the World Series Wednesday October 24 and Thursday October 25. Verlander will take the mound for Game 1 at 8:07 p.m. EST.
