Despite injuries, Tigers have enormous confidence

The Tigers have already taken some big hits during Spring Training with names like Bruce Rondon, Jose Iglesias, and Andy Dirks suffering injuries.

Before the opener on Monday, the team worked out at Comerica Park - full steam ahead.

“When we walk onto the field, we believe that we’re going to have success.” Max Scherzer said.

“When you have the talent in this clubhouse, we believe we can win.”

The Tigers finished the 2013 season with a 93-69 record. Scherzer said confidence is something you choose, and the team should have it, despite the injuries.

“For any team, That’s the key, trying to stay healthy.”  Torii Hunter said. The outfielder believes that even with early injuries this team has enough depth and is built to win.

“We still have guys  that can step into that role and get the job done.”

Players like Joba Chamberlain and Alex Gonzalez have been added to the already talented roster to help the team in pursuing a four-peat for the division title.

New players, a new manager and a new season. But the same confidence.
