Twins-Tigers game postponed because of rain

DETROIT - The Detroit Tigers game against the Minnesota Twins has been postponed because of rain.

It will be made up on Sunday, Sept. 23 as the second game of a split doubleheader, which will start at 1:05 p.m. followed by a second contest at 7:05 p.m.

According to the Tigers, tickets for tonight's game will be honored for the second game on Sunday at 7:05 p.m. No ticket exchanges are required.

Detroit came into play Friday trailing the AL Central-leading Chicago White Sox by two games and was six games behind wild-card leaders Baltimore and Oakland.
