DETROIT - With the possibility of a 50-game suspension reportedly imminent, Tigers shortstop Jhonny Peralta addressed his future for the first time Wednesday.
Multiple reports across baseball are pointing to Friday as the date for the host of players included in the Biogenisis papers to be suspended. Peralta is included in those documents.
"I'm worried a little bit because I want to play everyday here," Peralta said.
When he was asked if it was wrong for his name to be in the situation, Peralta asked for clarification on the word 'wrong.' Once the reporter asked if it was wrong for him to be on the list, Peralta defended himself.
"It's wrong, but whatever happened, right now I need to fight and try to move on."
Despite that comment, Peralta said he wasn't sure if he would appeal a suspension if Major League Baseball hands one down.
"That's what we need to talk about. I need to talk to Dombrowski," he said.
