(AP) - Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan and the Detroit Tigers are teaming up for a special Kids Opening Day at Comerica Park on Sunday.
Nearly 200 children will exercise on the field before that day's Tigers game against the New York Yankees.
The goal is to promote health, fitness and the fight against childhood obesity.
The 8- to 14-year-olds and their coaches will represent Boys & Girls Clubs, Detroit PAL, YMCA and local youth baseball teams.
In addition, kids also can enjoy free rides on the carousel and Ferris wheel at the ballpark on Sunday.
