(WXYZ) - The Spartans and Wolverines will be bringing their in-state rivalry to the Windy City.
Michigan and Michigan State are set to play in another outdoor hockey game as part of the Coyote Hockey City Classic on Feb. 7, 2015 at Soldier Field. Western Michigan will also play Miami of Ohio in the event.
The Spartans and Wolverines are no strangers to outdoor hockey games.
Michigan State helped propel outdoor hockey to its current popularity when it hosted U-M in the Cold War at Spartan Stadium in Oct. 2001. The game resulted in a 3-3 tie and was played in front of 74, 544 fans.
The two teams faced off again in Dec. 2010's Big Chill at the Big House. The Wolverines won 5-0 with a record-breaking crowd of 104,173 watching.
Most recently, the Spartans and Wolverines played in the third-place game of the Great Lakes Invitational Tournament at Comerica Park in Dec. 2013. The Spartans came out on top, 3-0.
Tickets for the Coyote City Hockey Classic go on sale to the public in October and will be able to be purchased on ticketmaster.com. Prices start at $19 plus fees. Presale and general ticket opportunities will be given to stakeholders of each university and Chicago Bears club ticket holders.
