Michigan and Michigan State eliminated from Big Ten Baseball Tournament

OMAHA, Neb. (WXYZ) - NEBRASKA 6, MICHIGAN 1

Nebraska used a five-run sixth inning to knock Michigan out of the double-elimination Big Ten Baseball Tournament with a 6-1 victory Saturday.

After taking a 1-0 lead into the sixth inning, Nebraska outfielder Austin Darby doubled his team's margin with an RBI double. The Cornhuskers would score three more times on bases loaded walks in the inning.

The Wolverines' lone run came on a Jackson Glines sacrifice fly in the ninth inning.

INDIANA 7, MICHIGAN STATE 4

Michigan State took an early lead against top-seed Indiana, but was unable to sustain the momentum as the Hoosiers won 7-4 to end the Spartans' stint in Omaha.

Joel Fisher put the Spartans on the board in the bottom of the first with a two-RBI double. However, once the Hoosiers went ahead 3-2 in the sixth, the Spartans were never able to regain the lead.

Indiana will now play Nebraska in Sunday's Big Ten Tournament Championship.
