DETROIT (WXYZ) - The Detroit Lions announced Wednesday they have placed defensive tackle Haloti Ngata on injured reserve.
Ngata, in his third year with the Lions, suffered an elbow injury during Sunday's loss to the Carolina Panthers.
He had seven tackles and two sacks in five games this season for Detroit as one defensive line anchors.
The team also announced they signed free agents DT Caraun Reid and DE Datone Jones.
