DETROIT (WXYZ) - It's official! Detroit Tigers' Max Scherzer will be the American League starting pitcher in Major League Baseball's All-Star Game.
The game takes place tomorrow night, July 16 at Citi Field in New York.
Scherzer has a 13-1 record with a 3.19 ERA.
The 28-year-old right-hander became the first pitcher to start a season 13-0 since Roger Clemens.
Max Scherzer's unbeaten run ended Saturday night when the Texas Rangers tagged the Detroit All-Star with his first loss of the season, defeating the Tigers 7-1.
