Lions cornerback Darius Slay did not travel with the Lions to Philadelphia and will miss some time with a torn meniscus.
The rookie corner injured his knee in a non-contact drill during Thursday's practice in Allen Park. It was deemed by head coach Jim Schwartz to be a "freak" injury.
Slay has not been taken off the Lions roster, an indication the team feels he might be able to return before the end of the season. Chris Greenwood was signed off the practice squad and Micheal Spurlock was released to make room for Greenwood.
