(WXYZ) - Jim Caldwell will lead the Detroit Lions in training camp starting July 28.
The team announced the schedule Thursday.
The first open practice will be August 1. Gates open at 3:00 p.m. for the 3:30 p.m. workout. It will be one of eight dates open to fans throughout camp. There will also be one at Ford Field at August 6 at 7:30 p.m.
The first two camp dates on July 28 and July 29 are scheduled for season ticket holders.
The open practice schedule follows:
Aug. 1 - 3:30 p.m.
Aug. 2 - 10:30 a.m.
Aug. 4 - 8:30 a.m.
Aug. 5 - 3:30 p.m.
Aug. 6 - 7:30 p.m. (Ford Field)
Aug. 7 - 2:00 p.m.
Aug. 11 - 3:30 p.m.
Aug. 13. - 2:00 p.m.
Veterans are set to report to Allen Park July 27.
WXYZ will air a live special, Lions Training Camp Live, at 7:00 p.m. on July 30.
