Former Texans head coach Gary Kubiak was in Allen Park today to discuss the Lions head coaching vacancy with team management.
Kubiak was fired from his post in Houston in the midst of a 2-14 season. Prior to this year's debacle, Kubiak led the Texans to consecutive playoff appearances.
He also suffered a mini-stroke during the Texans game against Indianapolis on November 3.
In just under eight seasons with Houston, Kubiak finished with a 61-64 record. He previously was an offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach in stops with San Francisco and Denver, where he played from 1983-1991.
