Glover Quin agrees to deal with Lions

As a busy day of free-agent acquisition continues, the Lions have come to terms on a deal to bring safety Glover Quin to Detroit.

The Lions website is reporting the deal to be five years.

Quin has played the first four years of his career with the Houston Texans. Last season, he posted 84 tackles, including 2 sacks. He forced one fumble and intercepted two passes.

The Lions desperately need safety help. Louis Delmas, who has suffered knee injuries in each of the last two seasons, is a free agent and visited the St. Louis Rams yesterday. It's still possible the Lions may re-sign Delmas, but unlikely given the financial commitments they've made to six other free agents over the past two days.

Yesterday, the Lions signed safety Amari Spievey to a one-year contract. They also signed special teamer Kassim Osgood to a one-year deal, cornerback Chris Houston to a five-year deal, defensive tackle Jason Jones to a three-year deal and running back Reggie Bush to a four-year deal.
