NEW YORK (WXYZ) - Wide Receiver Calvin Johnson took home NFL honors for his touchdown over three Cincinnati Bengals defenders Week 7 of the regular season.
Quarterback Matthew Stafford was scrambling to give his receivers more time. Johnson lined up on the right side and ran across the field on a deep route. Stafford saw Johnson in the end zone and was able to get the ball off right before being hit from behind.
Megatron leaped up and snagged the ball, while in triple coverage for a 50-yard touchdown.
Lions fans are so used to watching Johnson make big plays that people are shocked whenever he drops one.
"Oh man," Detroit wide receiver Kris Durham said that day. "That was in triple coverage. You've just got to say ‘Wow.'
"He's probably the only person I've ever seen that could be able to make that play."
Megatron had a good 2013 season to go along with his latest award. He broke the Lions all-time record for touchdown catches (67) and most receiving yards in a single game (329).
